The universe is a pretty big honkin' place, no? Nearly infinite.
On a scale of 1 to "holy shit that's expansive," it's a "my fragile little mind cannot comprehend this scale"
It's pretty safe to say that there's other life out there somewhere.
Imagine what sort of life that would be. Could be. They wouldn't be carbon-based, bound by gravity, or even exist on phenomenon imaginable by us. An entire planet could be sentient. The atmosphere of another planet could hold an entire species of gas-based life or something. Hell, there could be another planet exactly like earth where evolution worked out relatively the same as us.
Wild stuff here, people.
*Can you believe that word isn't in the Firefox dictionary? Yeesh.
It's something to think about, but I think a scarier thought would be if we were the ONLY planet with life. Think of the implications.
ReplyDeleteWell for me the universe only exists because I can observe so. If I was not aware of the existence of the universe it wouldn't exist. Thing exists because we perceive them to exist.
ReplyDeleteI forget the name of that theory but I love it. Sentient life causes the existence of what is or something like that.
I reckon in a universe so big that there's likely to be some form of life out there resembling something from our planet.
ReplyDeleteI will use this "holy shit that's expansive" scale at school !
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's a big universe out there. You never know what might be out there...
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing, all those single point of lights are stars that could have planets around them. It's huge and to think we're the only life?
ReplyDeleteOr there's a world that is so much more advanced that us, it's mindfuckery to even process it. Followed.
ReplyDeleteThinking, how big universe always scare me. By the way nice blog, follow you
ReplyDeletesince it's infinite there are infinite possibilities that there is a repeat. simple math
ReplyDeleteyou can add "mindfuckery" to the dictionary.
ReplyDeleteto put it simply there are billions of stars in our galaxy, there are billions of galaxies out there that we can see with our rather limited technology, most stars have at least one planet orbiting them, most planets have at least one moon orbiting them, new planets stars and galaxies are still being formed
ReplyDeletewell a lot more can be said on the topic but you get the picture
The fact that the universe is so fast only increases the probability that there is other life out there...creationists be damned.
ReplyDeletenice nice! i love it.
